    Compressed Natural Gas ( CNG ) Vehicles are currently the best alternative to purchasing high priced gasoline powered vehicles, over-priced Hybrid Vehicles, and Ethanol powered vehicles. CNG costs less and is available domestically here in the US. CNG is cleaner than gasoline, which is great for the environment, and more cost effective for those that have found themselves on a tight budget. With gas prices up to $4.09 per gallon or higher in some areas, it just makes sense to consider having a NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle ). In Oklahoma, the price for CNG is only about $0.95 per gallon compared to $4.09 per gallon or more for regular unleaded gasoline. In Birmingham, Alabama the public refueling station at the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority had its grand opening on Thursday, July 26, and will market CNG at $1.369 per equivalent gallon. Driving a CNG car pays for its self with the fuel savings alone. You can go longer between oil changes because Natural Gas burns cleaner than gasoline which results in longer engine life. The infrastructure is available in many areas across America already, and with the growing popularity of NGVs, more will be coming in the future. NGVs also entitle you to special benefits such as solo HOV lane access and free parking benefits in some states.
