PEC 500-R Starter Solenoid Interupt Package

This economical package prevents a CNG vehicle's engine from starting when a refueling hose is connected to its fill recptacle.

How it Works


The 500-IR Dustcap is equipped with an internal contact. When it is placed over the end of the fill receptacle, it completes the ground circuit on a switching device inside the 500-2 Control Center. This switch is wired into the starter solenoid circuit, preventing current from the engine's "key-on-start" position to flow to the solenoid--unless the 500-IR Dust Cover is in place.
